The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, flea meds, probiotics/deworming, nail trim, microchip, vaccines including rabies (for cats over 4 months).  Additional kitties are reduced prices – now or a future adoption.  Our founder is a professional cat behavior coach and offers assistance with transition via text free of charge.  This fee also allows us to continue providing care for more animals.

Don’t see the pet you are looking for?  We get new cats all the time and have more kittens waiting to be old enough to be adopted.  Check back often or contact us to discuss.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1.  I’ve never had a cat before – can I be approved?

  • Yes!  We have resources to help you be a great cat paw-rent and are available to help you with behavioral questions.

2.  I work long hours; can I still adopt?

  • Yes!  But we may suggest certain cats, generally adults, that do not require as much attention.  If you want a kitten, we recommend adopting two so they aren’t lonely.  We offer discounts on multiple cat adoptions.

3.  I have young children, is it ok to adopt a new cat?

  • Yes!  We will give recommendations on how to introduce your children and new cat.

4.  I want a bottle baby, or a kitten as young as possible.  How young can I adopt one?

  • Kittens are generally not ready for adoption until they are at least 8 weeks and 2 pounds so they can be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.  We do not adopt bottle babies, but you can become a foster and we will provide close supervision to help ensure their good health.  You can apply to be a foster at tinyurl.com/a2rfosterapp.

5.  I want a specific breed – what kind of breeds do you have?

  • Since we are a rescue, we generally cannot guarantee breed.  There are many breed-specific rescues you can research if that is important to you.   We will provide breed information based on specific traits we see in the cats.
